The scenic campus of Avalon Middle School is centrally located between the budding cities of Pace and Milton and directly north of Gulf Breeze, Florida. Avalon is located in Milton, Florida, and is a part of the Santa Rosa County School District.
Established in August of 1999, Avalon has maintained a modern attractive campus. Avalon students come from Bagdad Elementary, Pea Ridge Elementary and SS Dixon Elementary. Beginning with the 2008-2009 school year, neighboring Russell Elementary was added to our feeder pattern. When our students complete eighth grade, about half enter into Pace High School and the other half enroll into Milton High School.
​Overall, the county of Santa Rosa is growing and moving from a rural community to one of more urban and residential. Many residents have chosen to live in the county but commute to nearby Escambia County and the City of Pensacola for their employment.
